Volunteering Waikato

Intro
Volunteering Waikato required a refresh of its existing brand identity and the development of brand guidelines to improve consistency across communications.
The Challenge:
As a not-for-profit organisation, the brand was often managed by different staff, volunteers and external partners. This led to inconsistencies across communications, making the organisation feel fragmented and reducing the effectiveness of its messaging.
The Idea:
Three brand directions were explored, ranging from a subtle refresh to a complete rebrand. The selected direction evolved the existing identity rather than replacing it, preserving established recognition while improving clarity, consistency and usability. A comprehensive brand guideline system was developed to support future applications across a range of users.
The Outcome:
Refreshed and modernised existing brand identity
Developed a practical brand guideline system
Improved consistency across future communications
Preserved existing brand recognition while creating a more approachable visual presence
Deliverables:
Logo Design
Branding
Brand Strategy
